The network is hosted by North Bristol NHS Trust, with our Maternity and Neonatal Units being based at Southmead Hospital.
At Southmead Hospital, the Maternity Unit provides a full range of maternity care. More than 6,000 babies are born at Southmead Hospital every year and our patients are cared for by a dedicated team of Doctors, Midwives, Maternity Healthcare Assistants and Administrative Staff. There is also a 34 cot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which is a well established neonatal service who care for babies of all gestations, with specialist medical and neurological treatment. The unit provides intensive care, high dependency care, special care and transitional care for hundreds of babies every year.
